2Frequently asked questions

Q. The tempo does not match my pace.

A. Use Calibration in Settings to adjust for your device and how you carry it. Detection settles faster if you walk a few steps outdoors or march in place.

Q. The tempo does not change at all when I walk.

A. Check that Wizabee is allowed under Settings > Privacy & Security > Motion & Fitness on your iPhone. Detection settles faster if you walk a few steps outdoors or march in place.

Q. It feels out of sync with Bluetooth earphones.

A. Bluetooth audio latency varies considerably between models, which can make the sync feel off. Try playing through the iPhone's built-in speaker.

Q. What does Wizabee save to Health, and how do I delete it?

A. This is off by default. Wizabee saves to Health only when you turn on "Save walks to Health" in Settings under "Health and Apple Watch". For walks with just your iPhone, it saves the duration and distance as a walking workout. For walks where you measured your heart rate with Wizabee on Apple Watch, the watch saves the workout (including duration, distance, and heart rate).

Saved workouts remain in Health even if you delete Wizabee. To delete them, use the Health app. If you use Apple's Workout app at the same time, the same walk may be saved twice. If that happens, delete the one you don't need in the Health app.

3Privacy

Outside Japan, Wizabee sends no personal data or usage data to the developer. The only connection to the developer's server is the check for the song of the month, which sends just a random one-time value. Your IP address reaches the server only as part of that connection; it is not stored or used to identify you. Your walks, your songs, and your heart rate stay on your devices. See the Privacy Policy for details.
